It has been a while since my last post. A lot has been happening. Spring and I went to an incredible marriage retreat the first part of March. This marriage retreat was just the two of us with the two counselors of 10|10 Ministries. Things were going well with our marriage before the retreat. When we first got married, we made a commitment to go to some sort of marriage conference / retreat each year of our marriage. Both Spring and I highly recommend this retreat, whether you are newly married or married for several years. Much of what happened that week is personal. But I can tell you a couple things. First, my marriage is so much stronger than what it was before the retreat. Second, I will tell you that I am not the same person as I was at the start of that retreat. I was reminded of this during my hike today. I love this spot in the picture above that I stopped at for a while. I love seeing all of the new growth on the trees. It reminds me of the new growth and new beginnings that are happening inside of me.
It was a good hike to reflect on what God did during the retreat. It was a good hike to reflect on the trip I took to Nepal the end of March. This was a KidZ at Heart trip and we had the great opportunity to meet with the awesome team we have in Nepal. I reflected on the new growth that is happening with the ministry in Nepal. It is exciting to see and be a part of.
I am grateful for this new growth that I am experiencing. I am grateful for the new growth in my marriage. I am grateful for the new growth I am seeing in my other relationships. And I am especially grateful for the new growth I am seeing in my relationship with God.
What new growth are you experiencing?
